چکیده

The equilibration of hot and dense nuclear matter produced in the central region in central Au+Au collisions at √ s = 200A GeV is studied within the microscopic transport model UrQMD. The pressure here becomes isotropic at t ≈ 5 fm/c. Within the next 15 fm/c the expansion of the matter proceeds almost isentropically with the entropy per baryon ratio S/A ≈ 150. During this period the equation of state in the (P, ε)-plane has a very simple form, P = 0.15 ε. Comparison with the statistical model (SM) of an ideal hadron gas reveals that the time of ≈ 20 fm/c may be too short to attain the fully equilibrated state. Particularly, the fractions of resonances are overpopulated in contrast to the SM values. The creation of such a long-lived resonance-rich state slows down the relaxation to chemical equilibrium and can be detected experimentally.

A Transport Model for Heavy Ion Collisions at Rhic

To study heavy ion collisions at energies to be available from the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC), we have developed a transport model that includes both initial partonic and final hadronic interactions. Specifically, the parton cascade model ZPC, which uses as input the parton distribution from the HIJING model, is extended to include the quark-gluon to hadronic matter transition and a...

Jet Quenching at Rhic

We present high transverse momentum (p T) measurements made at the Relativis-tic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) for Au+Au, d+Au, and p+p collisions at √ s N N = 200 GeV, as well as for Au+Au collisions at √ s N N = 62 GeV. We observe a suppression in the yield of high p T hadrons measured in central Au+Au collisions, relative to the yield in p+p collisions scaled by the number of binary nucleon-nucl...

We predict that initially produced χ cJ mesons at low transverse momentum in the central rapidity region are almost dissociated by nucleons and antinucleons in hadronic matter produced in central Au+Au collisions at RHIC energies √ s N N = 130 and 200 GeV. In calculations the nucleon and antinucleon distributions in hadronic matter are results of evolution from their freeze-out distributions wh...

Excitation functions of baryon anomaly and freeze - out properties at RHIC - PHENIX

The intermediate p T region (2-5 GeV/c) in central Au+Au collisions at RHIC has a rich physics content. The (anti)proton to pion ratio at the intermediate p T gives us a powerful tool to investigate the bulk properties of the hot and dense matter created at RHIC and their hadronization processes. We present the preliminary results of identified charged hadron spectra at the lower beam energies ...
